If you are looking for a lovely place located in the heart of Nerja then hotel ‘Mena Plaza’ is the ideal option for you. Not only does it have a great location but also all the amenities are spot on. More about that in specific sections.

Location
I have to start with the location as it is excellent if you want to stay in the middle of all the restaurants and shops. Don’t get me wrong, the hotel is located behind the main square, it won’t get noisy. We had a great night sleep and we couldn’t hear anything, although our windows faced the other popular square. The main Burriana beach is only 5-10 minutes walking distance away, depending from which side you want to access it. The famous party square 'Tutti Frutti' is only 5 minutes walking distance away. Nerja itself is not that big so staying in the centre gives you access to all the main locations.
Parking
The good news is that there is parking nearby but it is a public one, not a hotel one. You can get a discount as a hotel guest but you will need to enquire first with the hotel. So if you are staying longer than a weekend then it can sum up more than you expected. There are free parking spots on the street but it will be very hard to find a free spot near the hotel. If you don’t need the car you can leave it somewhere on the street further away from the hotel as it is a safe area and nothing will happen to your car. Rooms
Our room was clean and had a balcony. The view from the balcony was on one of the main squares 'Plaza de Espana'.
Amenity
This is the best part! The hotel offers a rooftop pool, jacuzzi and a bar. It was quite spacious for a central hotel. Also, the views from the rooftop are great. On one side you have the beach but on the other side mountains.
The reception was well organised and we had no delays or issues.
Food
I can only speak about the breakfast as that was included in the price. For dinner, we always go and try local restaurants. The breakfast was good, with a lot of options to choose from. They offer options starting from local traditional Spanish breakfast dishes to British breakfast.
My Rating
I truly recommend this hotel as the location is excellent, the hotel is modern and fresh and the rooftop is just my favourite part. This is my first rating with 5 stars for everything!
