If you're still in college, or perhaps in between jobs and not sure if you can afford to travel, don't worry: the travel gods are making it easier and easier to travel on a budget. And if you want to travel with friends, you shouldn't worry about whether or not you can find a cheap option to agree on, because these days, there are plenty.

If you haven't discovered the magic of budget travel yet, prepare to have your mind blown. Today's travel industry is truly catered to people living on a shoestring. And once you realize just how much you can save, you can splurge just a bit with a fabulous limo transfer through transfer DMC. What better way could there be to kick off the trip of a lifetime?

Think Eurasia

cheap-travel-destinations

Before we get started on particular countries, we've got one word for you: Eurasia. If you can't decide on one particular spot to go to, there are tons of places across the Eurasian continent that you can land in and use as a base to get to other places from. Of course, you'll have to think about visas and make sure you can get into the places you want, but many countries are creating visa-free or cheap visas on arrival schemes to make it easier for tourists.

Thailand

Yes, we know it's a big stereotype that everyone wants to go to Thailand. But the stereotype is justified: Not only is it a lush, tropical location full of beautiful beaches and delicious food that you could eat till you drop, but the country is made for tourists. Infrastructure, banking, telecom, and other essentials are all fully functional in Thailand. So you can relax there knowing you've got everything you need.

India

The world's most populous country has really been stepping up its tourism industry in recent years. India has some of the richest history, most diverse landscapes, and fascinating cultural spots you can imagine. Interested in yoga? Head to Rishikesh, the undisputed yoga capital of the world. Want a $2 curry near the beach? Goa is positively bursting with cheap restaurants, hostels, and more for the budget traveler. And a rickshaw ride will cost you just pennies, too.

Central Asia

If you want to go off the beaten path, you should check out the former Soviet countries in Central Asia. In just the last three years, these countries have exploded onto the international tourism scene with vamped-up infrastructure, information portals, and services surrounding their stunning Silk Road histories. Uzbekistan is probably the best starting-off point; there you can visit the historic cities of Samarkand and Bukhara, and you can do it on a brand-new high-speed train. If you like hiking, head over to Tajikistan. For some ridiculously cheap spas and hot springs, Kyrgyzstan is a great option. And all these countries are perfectly within the budget of a shoestring traveler.

Nepal

If you're really up for a physical adventure, you can fly into Kathmandu for a once-in-a-lifetime trekking experience. Climbing Mt Everest might sound like an impossible dream for most people, but getting to Everest Base Camp is actually quite easy with the help of one of the country's many eager guides. Indeed, you will feel spoiled beyond your means when assisted by these cheap, friendly, and knowledgeable porters. Afterwards, you can relax in a teahouse back in the capital and share stories with the other tourists.

Japan

Yes, it's true: The place that was once considered the most expensive travel destination on the planet is now definitively cheap. Thanks to the drastic weakening of the yen recently, what might have seemed like an impossible trip is now fully affordable for most people. So if you want to experience the excitement of Tokyo, the beauty of the cherry blossoms, or any of Japan's other stunning locations, this is the time to do it.

Pack your bags!

It is hard to overstate just how reasonable these incredible tourist spots have become. Of course, you should always plan carefully. And keep in mind that some budget airlines and hotels are better than others. There are lots of good review sites out there, so you should take advantage of them. Once you've got an itinerary worked out, you and your friends can pack your bags and look forward to an amazing (and amazingly affordable) vacation!
