Best advice for traveling in Spain is to visit during late spring or early autumn, as the weather is excellent. Not too hot, but with a perfect temperature of around 25°C (77°F).
Before traveling to Spain you should know that it gets really hot during the summer. You will need sunscreen and ideally, a hat and sunglasses as the sun is very strong during most of the day.
The Canary Islands from Spain are quite far. The Canary Islands are by Africa, 1000 km (645 miles) from mainland Spain.
The most popular summer party island in Spain is Ibiza. Mallorca and Tenerife are also popular islands for summer parties.
If you travel to the South of Spain it may be difficult as a vegetarian, but the further North you travel the more options there will be.
A good month to travel in Spain is May, June, and September. July and August can be too hot. January and February are the worst months to travel in Spain as it is very rainy and cold weather then.
When visiting Barcelona, you should be careful of pickpockets. The most common place where the pickpockets tend to be is the main walking avenue - The Ramblas.
It is possible to travel in Spain using only English but it will be much easier if you do know some basic Spanish phrases. Also, you will enjoy the culture and your time in Spain much more if you will learn some basic Spanish.
My favorite part of Spain is Andalusia. Especially the South part of the country. It is always warm there and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
For a long beach holiday in Spain I would choose the Andalusia area. Costa del Sol is a long famous cost featuring sunshine most of the days of the year. Some of the best beaches in Spain are on the Costa del Sol.
